How does home-study CME & CE work?
Hatherleigh sends you home-study course materials containing CME or CE approved lessons.

Study these lessons and then answer the questions from each lesson by filling out the answer sheet at the end of each volume. Simply return this form to Hatherleigh for scoring via website, fax or mail. If you receive a score of at least 75% correct, Hatherleigh will send you a certificate awarding the credit hours designated for your program.

What organizations are you accredited with?
Hatherleigh is an accredited provider of AMA PRA Category 1 credit hours. We are approved by the ACCME, APA (American Psychological Association), NBCC, CRCC, CDMSC, CCMC, and NAADAC. Nursing activities are accepted by the ANCC.

Can I use these courses to obtain my license for the first time?
Our courses are designed and approved for renewing your license only.

Is there a deadline for course completion?
Yes! All of our courses should be completed within a three-year period from the purchase date. Previously, we had not instituted a deadline for course completion. However, accreditation and regulation changes occur and to ensure that you earn the maximum amount of credit for your course, we have instituted a three-year period for completion. Your certificate will be the date your quiz is processed in our office. (Note: Directions in Psychiatry subscribers should refer to the CME information page in their program for the preliminary expiration date of volume.)

How do I order?
Go to the webpage of the course you wish to order and click the “Buy It Now” button, following the directions to finish your order. Or you can call us at 1-800-367-2550 and a Customer Care Representative will help you with your order. Shipping and handling charges are free for digital downloaded editions, $10 per course for PRIORITY MAIL for United States, $30 per order for INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY MAIL.

What is your policy on returns?
We stand by everything we publish. All of our courses are unconditionally guaranteed for 30 days from receipt. You may not receive credit for a returned program. If you are not 100% satisfied with your course material, call our Customer Care Department to arrange your return.

What is my customer number? Where can I find it?
Your customer number is printed on your invoice or mailing label—it does not change. This may also be referred to as your registration number. Of course, you can call us for your customer number anytime.

Can I submit my Quiz Response Form online?
Yes! You may submit your quiz form online, via e-mail, fax, or standard mail. We strongly recommend that you keep a copy of your Quiz Response Form for your records.

  • Sharing your program with a friend & Group Enrollments
    You are able to share Hatherleigh’s CE program with someone else. You need to: 1. Call Hatherleigh for the proper sharing rate at 1-800-367-2550 for details. 2. Order additional quiz response forms for each person sharing the program.

    Participants who are sharing must include the appropriate sharing fee.

    Are there group discounts?
    We offer group discounts as well. Please call us at 1-800-367-2550 for more information about our Group Share Rate, multiple enrollments and discounts. Organizations should send Hatherleigh a roster of all participants using the program with complete contact information at the time of placing the order. Include the name and contact information of the person/organization under whom the original order was placed. Each participant receives a unique customer number.
